New Patient Registration

We welcome new patients to the Practice and try to make the process as simple as possible so you can register online or using a paper form.

How to Register

We can only accept new patients within our boundary area, so please use this tool to check your postcode.

Once you've entered your postcode, you will see a link to register with us if you live within our catchment area.

If you have any questions about your eligibility to join our practice please contact us.

Your Named GP

Once you have registered you will be assigned a named GP and wherever possible, to allow for continuity of care, your GP appointments will be with your named GP who will have a better understanding of any ongoing issues.  On occasion you may need to see a different GP, for example if it is in a specialist area, such as joint injections, dermatology, coil fittings or women’s health, or when your GP is away from the surgery.

Temporary registration

If you are ill while away from home or you are not registered with a GP but need to see one, you can receive emergency treatment from a local GP Practice for 14 days. After 14 days you will need to register as either a temporary or permanent patient.

You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to 3 months. This will allow you to be on the local Practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with that Practice.

Please contact us to register as a temporary patient. We are not obliged to accept you as a temporary patient but we do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient here if you are already registered with one of the other local practices.

Moving into or around the UK

If you have moved from another part of England or Wales, then your medical records will be electronically transferred to us along with any paper records.  Patients moving to us from outside of England or Wales are asked to obtain a paper copy of their medical records, which can then be saved to your new medical record.

NHS Health Checks

We ask all new eligible patients to attend for an NHS Health Check appointment to establish your current state of health, check your blood pressure and offer further services as appropriate. Once registered, we will call you to book an appointment.
