As you may be aware, the length of time before a patient receives their 2nd dose has been increased from 3 weeks to 12 weeks.
This change allows us to vaccinate many more patients with their 1st dose, which will give them protection against becoming seriously ill with COVID-19. The 2nd “booster” dose given later will provide further protection against the virus – so it remains very important that patients have this.
Those patients already with an appointment that was booked for Thursady 7 January will now have their 2nd dose on Thurday 25 March, 11 (eleven) weeks later – to avoid Easter.
