Yesterday the Government announced changes to the advice to Shielding Patients, which included a gradual change so that by 1 August shielding patients would be in a position to return to work.

We understand that Shielding patients will also receive a letter from the NHS/Government in due course.
Where patients have a specific condition that they are under the care of a consultant/hospital department, they may provide additional advice in due course to their patient directly.
Currently as a Practice we only have the same information available to us as shilding patients have so are unable at this point to provide additional advice with regards the easing of shielding.
We understand though that this may be an anxious time for some and when more information becomes available we will look to distribute this to our patients. But for now we would ask that patients not to contact the practice if possible with regards this as we can’t provide any significant additional advice at the current time.
